The Soul of a Storyteller & Advocate
My journey as a creator has always been rooted in a love of animals, storytelling and the power of the arts to make a difference. I am an animal welfare advocate, media personality, author and founder of Gail Jewel’s Animal Hub, with a career spanning writing, publishing, radio, podcasting and community projects.
A proud milestone was receiving a Barbados National Cultural Foundation Environmental Award for writing a play highlighting the importance of protecting the habitat of the Barbados Green Monkey. The production was performed by young adults with disabilities, combining my passion for environmental awareness, theatre and community inclusion.
Today, I continue to explore new ways of telling stories and celebrating wildlife, including through my wildlife tote collections, which have sparked a new passion for visual storytelling.
